Registration deadline for competitors is coming close. The last day for entries is 31st of May 2009. Make sure to remind athletes in your country, who have not registered yet, about this fact. Also we kindly ask you to deliver us an estimate, how many athletes there will come through your union. You can send the information to Virpi Hurri,

Lahti Travel Ltd. is the official partner of WMA 2009 Lahti organizing committee for accommodation services. Lahti Travel Ltd. has booked all the accommodation capacity of the area for the athletes competing in World Championships. Please contact them when booking the hotel; there are only very few rooms available direct from hotels and prices are high season rates.

There are still rooms available, but we suggest everyone to act quickly to book one's own accommodation through Lahti Travel Ltd.

Athlete's party

The World Masters Athletics Championships Lahti 2009 ATHLETES' PARTY will be organised in the scenery view of VesijärviPassenger Harbour, at the SIBELIUS HALL. The party will be on Tuesday, 4th of August 2009, starting at 7pm - .

For the athletes and other welcomed guests there will be a SHOW perfomance prepared by a brilliant Finnish entertainer, a pop singer Laura Voutilainen. For the rest of the evening there will be dancemusic, delicious food and beverages and enjoying each others' company.
