Before the first WMACI-start; training!
The hammer throwers took the opportunity for a last training before the first start of the World Indoor Championships, beginning on Monday. A very famous hammer-thrower coached during this training the athletes coming from the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and Canada: Anatoli Bondartschuk, the former Olympic Champion (Munich 1972 with a new Olympic Record of 75,50 m).
In the meantime the Ukrainian/Canadian Bondartschuk is living in Kamploops and is working as coach in the local club and is working for the Canadian throwing team as well. On May 31 he will celebrate his 70th birthday.
