(hps) The Polish City of Korbielow hosted the 10th World Masters Championships in Mountain Running. While last year the Italian team got nine gold medals, this time the Czech team was leading.
In total: Germany 15 medals, Italy 13, Poland and Czech Republic 12, Slovakia 10. All in all athletes from 15 countries got a medal.
WMRA and WMA cooperated in the organisation of these championships, where 461 runners (366 men, 95 women) finished the race.
Overall winner in the men's category was the German Paul Sichermann (M45). he run the 8km distance in 45:47,2 min, while the British Angela Mudge (W40) needed 51:50,6 min for the same distance.
